Named one of Manhattan’s Top 100 real estate agents and ranked among the top 1.5% of agents nationwide for many consecutive years, Tamer Howard also serves on the Board of Directors of the New York Residential Agent Continuum (NYRAC). Over the past four years, 89% of her exclusive listings have sold at or above the asking price, with an average time on the market of less than one month.
Tamer’s passion for real estate was first inspired by her mom, DeeDee Howard, a partner at The Agency in Beverly Hills and one of The Wall Street Journal’s Top 200 Real Estate Professionals. A Manhattan resident for more than 20 years, Tamer comes from an accomplished New York family, beginning with her grandfather, Frederic Drake, who served as publisher of Harper’s Bazaar and vice president of Hearst.
Tamer understands that buying or selling a home is both a major financial decision and an emotional one. Her clients rely on her to simplify the process, anticipate potential obstacles, and provide candid advice. Known for going above and beyond, Tamer brings a can-do attitude, sharp intuition, and sense of humor to every transaction. Whether you are buying, selling, or both, Tamer strives to make it a fun and exciting process to which her clients always look forward to doing.
Prior to working in the real estate industry, Tamer began her career in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles. In her youth, she was the “spokes-girl” for Grandma’s Cookies and Polaroid Cameras, where she served alongside James Garner. She was also the #1 nationally ranked Equestrian Show Jumper as well as the Jr. Hunter Champion at Madison Square Garden. Tamer transitioned to work behind the camera as a voice-over agent representing celebrity talent such as George Clooney and Bryan Cranston. Subsequently, she produced a number of award-winning independent films which screened at the Sundance, Toronto, and Tribeca film festivals.
